Ieder jaar richting het einde van de zomer laat Barack Obama zien welke tracks hij die zomer het meest heeft gedraaid. Ook dit jaar had de voormalig president weer een bijzondere Summer Playlist met o.a. Jay-Z, Lil Nas X, Mac Miller en Lauryn Hill.

Billboard heeft onderzoek gedaan naar de verkoopcijfers van alle 44 nummers in de lijst. Ze kwamen erachter dat de totale cijfers van alle tracks omhoog gegaan zijn, al zijn er vijf tracks van wie de streams gedaald zijn: Mood 4 Eva, Señorita, Brown Eyed Girl, Boo’d Up en Old Town Road. Dit komt volgens Billboard doordat de tracks nog vrij recent hits zijn (geweest).

Billboard heeft de cijfers op een rijtje gezet en we zien bijvoorbeeld dat Who’s Loving You van Terence Trent D’Arby en Espera van Esperanza Spalding met ruim 2000% gestegen zijn in de week na het posten van de playlist. Check hieronder alle cijfers.
